401k Plan Administration

On behalf of the plan sponsor, Planmark provides continuous plan administration, including duties such as determining eligible participants, allocating contributions, maintaining plan records, preparing administrative reports, and consulting with your accountant and trustee.

Are we the Plan Administrator? The short answer is no; in most cases the Plan Administrator is the company that sponsors the plan. The role of the Plan Administrator is a legal designation spelled out in the plan document. A TPA (third party administrator) handles many of the functions of the Plan Administrator at the direction and for the benefit of the Plan Administrator. As your TPA, we bring our experience and knowledge to your side and guide you through the complicated world of retirement planning.

Our core services include:

  • Customized retirement plan review or new plan proposals
  • Retirement plan design and preparation of plan documents
  • Comprehensive plan administration, including compliance testing
  • Preparation of Form 5500
  • Correction of plan errors through the Employee
  • Plans compliance Resolution system
